Carmel PD, Sheriffs To Hold 'Ice Cream with a Police Officer'

MAHOPAC, NY — The Carmel Police Department and the Putnam County Sheriff's Department will be giving away free ice cream and the opportunity to interact with a member of law enforcement.

The "Ice Cream with a Police Officer" event will take place between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday, July 22 at Kwality Ice Cream, 939 South Lake Blvd. in Mahopac.

"Come one, come all for @back_the_blue_1234's Ice Cream With A Cop event! Join the Carmel Police Department and Putnam County Sheriffs Department for free ice cream! Who could say no to that?" the sheriff's department posted on its website.

The event is free and open to the public, organizers said.
