CARMEL, NY — A 22-year-old was killed on route 301 Thursday in a crash involving two motorcycles and a car.
Carmel Police, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Carmel Fire Department responded to a 911 call just after 4 p.m. on the highway near Smokey Hollow Court.
One of the motorcycle operators, Christian A. Campagna, of Staatsburg, NY, was seriously injured. He was transported to Westchester Medical Center where he subsequently died from his injuries. One other person was treated for minor injuries.

The New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting with the accident investigation. Police said they were withholding the names of the other two drivers until it is complete.
