CT Man Found Dead In Lake Carmel ID'd
His body was found floating in the lake about 1,000 yards off the shoreline.

LAKE CARMEL, NY â Authorities have identified the Connecticut man whose body was found in Lake Carmel early Monday morning. Jeremy Kipnis, 54, of Redding, Connecticut, went swimming Saturday and disappeared.
His wife reported him missing around 6:45 p.m. after he had told her he would be swimming at the lake but never came home.
The lake and beaches were closed while authorities searched for Kipnis.

His body was found floating in the lake about 1,000 yards off the shoreline at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Kent police said.
Carolina Kipnis, his wife, informed his followers on Facebook that Kipnis had a heart attack while in the water, according to a preliminary autopsy report from the Kent PD.

The Lake Carmel Fire Department said the following agencies helped during the search: Town of Kent Police Department, Putnam County Sheriff's Department marine and drone units, New York State Police, Carmel Fire Department, Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department dive team and Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department dive team.
