Danbury Man Charged With Felony DWI In Southeast
He was the only Connecticut driver arrested by members of NYSP Troop K during a DWI sweep over the Jan. 4 weekend.
SOUTHEAST, NY — A Danbury man driving on Danbury Road in Southeast was stopped by New York State police Jan. 5. They said he had committed a violation of the vehicle and traffic law, but that's not what got him arrested.
Their subsequent observation of Manuel G. Sanango, 37, led them to conclude that he was under the influence of alcohol, police said. Their research revealed that he had a prior conviction within the past 10 years, making this charge a class E felony.
He was the only Connecticut driver arrested by members of NYSP Troop K during a sweep that resulted in arrests of 13 people accused of driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs over the Jan. 4 weekend.
