6 Arrests In Southeast During Holiday DWI Crackdown

SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State Police in Troop K said they removed 27 impaired drivers from public roads over the 2019 Memorial Day weekend. Six arrests were made in Southeast.

On May 24, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Percy L. Beamon, 61, of Carmel, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.

On May 25, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Stephen P. Pohlot, 51, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 6 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.

On May 26, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Erik K. Reid, 22, of Vernon, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 6 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.

On May 26, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Robert J. Passantino, 43, of Carmel, NY, for DWI with two prior convictions, a class D felony, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, a class E felony. He was traveling on State Route 6 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

On May 26, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Isau R. Martinez Coronado, 27, of Norwalk, CT, for DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

On May 27, State Police from SP Livingston arrested Megan R. O’Dell, age 24, of Chatham, NY, for DWAI Drugs. She was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of drugs, police alleged.
