Jury Finds DiPippo Not Guilty in 3rd Trial for Murder of 12-Year-Old Putnam Girl

Josette Wright's body was found in a field in 1994; the two convicted have filed several appeals.

Twice convicted of the rape and murder of Josette Wright, Anthony DiPippo was found not guilty Tuesday by a jury hearing the case for the third time, according to news reports.

DiPippo had been found guilty twice; both times the conviction was overturned on appeal, the Putnam County Courier reported.

Wright's family was outraged and horrified by the jury's decision, while DiPippo supporter Jeffrey Deskovic celebrated. Lawyers for Andrew Krivac, the other man who was convicted with DiPippo for the assault and murder, have filed to have his conviction overturned, according to reporter Eric Gross.
