Rapist Sentenced To 18 Years In Prison
He sexually abused a child for three years, Putnam County District Attorney Robert V. Tendy said.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — A Mahopac man who sexually abused a child has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison, Putnam County District Attorney Robert V. Tendy announced Tuesday.
The sentence handed down to Khori Salmon Aug. 17, by the Honorable Judge James Rooney also includes 20 years post release supervision and registration as a sex offender.

Salmon began sexually abusing a 9-year-old when he lived in the Bronx. Salmon moved to Putnam County in 2017, and his abuse continued, cumulating in the rape of the then 12-year-old victim on two occasions in his residence in January 2018.
Tendy thanked the New York City Police Department and the Bronx District Attorney’s Office for their assistance. He also thanked the Carmel Police Department, whose detectives investigated and arrested Salmon, specifically Detective Frank Chibbaro, Detective Michael Sheil, and Detective Sgt. Michael Nagle.

"This conviction was the product of fantastic collaboration between numerous law enforcement agencies and my office," Tendy said.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Melissa Lynch and Nicholas LaStella.
