State Troopers Make 3 DWI Arrests In Southeast

State Police in Troop K said they removed 17 impaired drivers from public roadways during the May 12 weekend.

SOUTHEAST, NY — State Police in Troop K said they removed 17 impaired drivers from public roadways during the May 12 weekend. Among the arrests were three in Southeast.

On May 11, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Kwanda N. McCray, 37, of Danbury, CT, for DWI, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree, both misdemeanors. She was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, police allege.

On May 11, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Luis S. Cajamarca Ayabaca, 36, of Dover, NY, for DWI. He was sleeping in his vehicle on the side of Route 22 in the town of Southeast. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.

On May 12, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Christopher D. Pretto, 27, of Hoboken, NJ, for DWI with a previous conviction within 10 years, a class E felony. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, when he went off the roadway and became disabled in mud. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
