Police in Connecticut say surveillance video recorded the shoplifting incident.

A 50-year-old woman is facing a larceny charge in connection with the theft of a nickel-plated shaving brush valued at nearly $1,000, from a Greenwich drugstore.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video at Greenwich Pharmacy, 116 Greenwich Ave., “stealing a nickel-plated shaving brush from (a) $990 Twinlux Chrome Collection shaving set,” according to a Greenwich Police report. The incident occurred between 11:50 a.m. and noon on March 4 and Greenwich Police obtained an arrest warrant charging the woman with fourth-degree larceny, according to the report.

At about 6:30 a.m. April 7, Christina Bauer, of Bowen Road, Carmel, NY, surrendered at Greenwich Police headquarters. Police said Bauer chose not to post $1,200 bail and was to appear April 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
