50 Gallons Of Heating Oil Spills On Brooklyn Street: FDNY
Crews were still cleaning up the oil in Borough Park about 45 minutes after getting the call Wednesday morning, fire officials said.

BOROUGH PARK, BROOKLYN — About 50 gallons of heating oil spilled onto a Brooklyn street Wednesday morning, fire officials said.
Crews were sent to 49th Street and 12th Avenue around 8:19 a.m. after they heard there was an oil spill in the street. When they arrived, they found about 50 gallons of heating oil on the ground, FDNY officials said.
The crews were still on the scene cleaning up the spill around 9 a.m. Officials didn't immediately have details about whether the oil had leaked from a truck or another source.
