Our Mission The Children's Orchestra Society, founded in 1962 by Dr. H.T. Ma, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to "teaching the language of music" to children and teens. Our mission is to cultivate and nurture children and teach them teamwork and life skills through music-learning and performing in orchestral and chamber music settings. Members of COS receive excellent training in classical music and opportunities to perform in concerts with their peers as well as with well-established musicians. A Child Centered Approach This is the core belief of Director Dr. Yeou-Cheng Ma and Music Director Michael Dadap, who have led the Children's Orchestra Society since 1984. In an interview with Causes, Dr. Ma explains, "We have expanded on the 'tailor-made' parts my father used to write so that each child could take part in the group experience, despite differing levels of competence." https://childrensorch.org/

Leslie Sanabria was last seen at her residence on Edgemere Avenue in Uniondale around 7 a.m. Thursday, Nassau Police said. Leslie is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-4 and 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Police are asking anyone with information regarding Leslie to contact the Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad at <a href="tel:(516)%20573-7347" value="+15165737347" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">516-573-7347</a> or call 911. Event will include a reading, discussion with optional Q &amp; A, and book signing.&nbsp;Erica Settino is a neuroqueer, late-diagnosed AuDHDer, author, artist, and activist whose work has been published in numerous print and online literary journals, anthologies, magazines, and blogs. She is the founder of the non-profit organization, Karuna For Animals, and the author of two forthcoming books, My Mommy Is a Witch, and Autistic Arcana: A Neurodivergent Approach to Tarot Magick.
