Cell Phones Ripped Off From Optimum Store In Syosset: Police

Police are investigating the Wednesday overnight burglary.

SYOSSET, NY — The Optimum Store on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset was broken into early Wednesday.

Nassau police said the front glass door was shattered and eight cell phones valued at approximately $8,000 were stolen just after 1:30 a.m.

A witness saw a male enter the passenger side of a black Jeep Cherokee with no registration plates. The vehicle was seen fleeing westbound on the Long Island Expressway from South Oyster Bay Road, authorities said.
