Syosset Among Best Places To Live On Long Island

Syosset ranked as the third best communities among Niche.com’s list of the 2017 Best Places to Live in New York.

A total of 34 local towns and villages on Long Island made the top 100.

Syosset was beat out by Kensington, which once again took the top spot in the state rankings.

In addition, the nearby community of Woodbury also made the list at No. 100.

Just three Suffolk County communities made the list. The 31 other communities all hail from Nassau County.

Niche.com took into account local statistics on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities to determine these rankings. Read more about the methodology here.
