SYOSSET, NY — Syosset held its first annual candlelight vigil Wednesday evening to honor the victims in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The vigil was held at Firefighters Memorial Park, which just had a ribbon-cutting ceremony over the weekend. The park, featuring two steel beams recovered from ground zero of the World Trade Centers, is located across from the Syosset Fire District's headquarters.

Syosset firefighters and members of the Community attended the somber vigil to remember all the victims who died on 9/11 and those who continue to die from related illnesses.
