Town Aims To Close Syosset Vape Shop After Multiple Arrests: Report
There have been two arrests of store employees for illegally selling marijuana within the last year, according to News12.

SYOSSET, NY — Oyster Bay officials are trying to get a judge to close a Syosset vape shop with employees that have been accused of selling marijuana illegally, according to News12.
In a court filing obtained by the outlet, officials noted that East Wind Exotic Vape Shop on Jackson Avenue is a nuisance as there have been two arrests of store employees in separate incidents within the last year, according to News12.
According to the Syosset Advance, on June 30, Nassau County Police charged a New Hyde Park man who was accused of illegally selling controlled substances at the shop.

Police said that the shop was selling chocolate bars containing THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, according to the outlet.
In May 2022, police arrested Mohammed Salem, 25, of New Hyde Park, and Shaafal Nasser Ali Ahmed, 41, of Brooklyn, after they were accused of illegally selling marijuana products at the shop.

The store owner has been ordered to appear in Nassau County Supreme Court on Aug. 3, according to News12.
