Greenburgh To Distribute Home COVID-19 Test Kits Thursday
Only one test kit per household will be given out to residents of unincorporated Greenburgh.
GREENBURGH, NY — Greenburgh will be distributing rapid COVID-19 tests to residents of the unincorporated part of town Thursday.
The test kits will be given out — one per household — beginning at 10 a.m. at the Theodore Young Community Center.
Town officials said only 720 test kits were received and there are more than 40,000 residents. Kits will be distributed on a first-come basis.

Since many seeking the kits may already be infected with the coronavirus, you must stay in your vehicle and stay masked.
A photo ID, which shows your home address, will be checked to verify residency in unincorporated Greenburgh at an address and/or apartment that hasn't already received a kit, officials said.

The distribution will be by the town's Department of Community Resources in the Theodore D. Young Community Center parking lot, 32 Manhattan Ave., beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.
Officials said you must line up in your vehicle without blocking driveways along Manhattan Avenue to turn right into the center's parking lot when it's your turn.
The town said it will be holding other distribution events at different sections of town when more kits become available.
