Lane Closure Expected In Tarrytown

Crews will be performing construction activities, weather permitting.

TARRYTOWN, NY — The state Department of Transportation said that motorists can expect a lane closure in the Village of Tarrytown. The bus lane on Route 9, between Prospect Avenue and White Plains Road, is expected to be closed beginning at midnight on Sunday, Nov. 12, until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
