Sisters Unite: Marymount Convent in Action
A chapter meeting of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary brought 103 sisters to the Doubletree. Marymount Convent sisters, who reside in Tarrytown and direct and staff Sleepy Hollow's LIFE Center, joined in the work, prayer and festivities.

Sisters from the Eastern American Province of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary gathered in Tarrytown last week for their Provincial Chapter.
One hundred and three sisters from around the United States, and from London, Paris, Rome, and Mexico met at the for working sessions. An additional 56 sisters at Marymount Convent joined them for prayer and dinner each evening at the Convent.

The Chapter, held every six years, is a time for celebration, prayer, and setting directions for the future. This year, sisters were joined on Tuesday, August 14th by over 60 of their lay colleagues, alumnae, and friends for a day of discussion and celebration of their many works.
The Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary are present in 13 countries and are active in education, advocacy for justice, social and legal services, and pastoral work in parishes, retreat centers, and hospitals.
