Meeting of the Minds Dementia Conference

Join the Alzheimer's Association for the Fourth Annual Hudson Valley Regional Dementia Conference on May 17th.

The Alzheimer’s Association presents Meeting of the Minds Fourth Annual Hudson Valley Regional Dementia Conference on Thursday, May 17 from 8AM-3PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown.

The full day conference for caregivers and professionals will include keynote speaker, Daniel Kuhn, LCSW, vice president of education at All Trust Home Care in Illinois and author of The Art of Dementia Care" and "Alzheimer's Early Stages: First Steps for Family, Friends and Caregivers."

This year’s luncheon speaker, Dr. Jessica Zwerling, director of Montefiore Hudson Valley Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease will present a “Comprehensive Clinical Update in Neurodegenerative Disease."

Breakout sessions throughout the day will cover a variety of topics, including legal and financial issues, healthy lifestyle and eating habits, and tips on stress reduction. Caregivers will have the chance to learn more about mindful and compassionate caregiving, relaxation techniques, and ways to manage challenging
behaviors in those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

A Spanish round table, “Un junta en español” will also be offered during both morning and afternoon breakout sessions.
