Tarrytown Re-Institutes Masks Indoors For Village Facilities
All people entering the village hall and village facilities will be required to mask up, regardless of vaccination status.
TARRYTOWN, NY — Due to the rising number of coronavirus infections, most notably caused by the delta variant, the village of Tarrytown is implementing health and safety guidelines.
In a policy directive issued Thursday by Mayor Thomas Butler, the village is re-instituting an indoor mask mandate for all people entering village hall and village facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
Butler said this was in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of village employees, volunteers and the public.

- The public is required to wear a mask at all times when entering village hall and other village facilities. This includes the police department area, Department of Public Works facilities, the recreation center, senior center and fitness center.
- At public meetings, masks are required at all times.
- Employees are required to wear a mask when not at their desk, when entering or gathering around village hall and other facilities, and when interacting with the public indoors. When seated in their own space and socially distanced, a mask is not required.
- When employees are working together indoors or more than one employee is inside a village vehicle, masks must be worn.
"We thank everyone for their cooperation and consideration of others during this difficult time of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic," Butler said.
