2 LI Spots Make '14 Best Places To Visit In NY In 2018' List

Two Long Island destinations have made a new list of "The 14 Best Places To Visit In New York In 2018."

The list, complied by the website Only In Your State, includes Avalon Park & Preserve in Stony Brook and Camp Hero State Park in Montauk.

"The charming park is home to a popular Labyrinth, nature trails and even its own Sky Lab," Only In Your State says of Avalon Park & Preserve, which is located at 200 Harbor Road. "Like something out of your favorite movie, you'll be surprised to discover all the amazing quirks that make up this park."

Of Camp Hero State Park, which was the inspiration for Netflix's hit series Stranger Things, Only In Your State says, "Assuming that you haven't been living under a rock since 2016, the main premise of the show is about the uncomfortable history that surrounds this New York state park out along the ocean."
