Judge Ukeiley Earns Major Law Enforcement Endorsement

Last week, Judge Stephen Ukeiley gratefully accepted the endorsement of the Suffolk County Police Conference, the organization consisting of the following law enforcement unions:

• Suffolk County Probation Officers Association
• Suffolk County PBA
• Suffolk Country Detective Investigators PBA
• Suffolk County Detectives Association
• Suffolk County Superior Officers Association

Since taking the Bench in 2009, Judge Ukeiley has presided over 60,000 criminal and civil cases to completion. He was elevated to Acting County Court Judge and handles felony cases as the presiding judge of Suffolk County’s Human Trafficking Court. He authored two books on the law, the most recent of which is being distributed to over 1,200 courts in New York State by the Office of Court Administration. At the behest of the educational division of the same Office, Judge Ukeiley tours the New York State and has educated over 2,000 other judges on how to improve their courtrooms. Additionally, he serves as a Law professor at Touro Law Center and the New York Institute of Technology.

On August 1st of this year, Judge Ukeiley was found “Highly Qualified for election as Judge of the District Court” by the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission.
