A 'Picture'-Perfect Celebration at Nassakeag Elementary
Students celebrate National Picture Book Month.

Nassakeag Elementary School students celebrated this year’s National Picture Book Month through a series of literacy-based projects.
Wearing their favorite pajamas, students shared their favorite picture book with reading buddies, completed book reviews, crafted artistic book jacket covers and wrote reflective essays about different selections.
To share their love of reading with others, the student council coordinated a picture book drive for local organizations. The effort generated hundreds of donations from students and staff members.
