
A man robbed an East Setauket Bank of America branch on Saturday afternoon, police said.
According to police, the man entered the bank, located at 15-1 Bennetts Road, at 12:20 p.m., approached a teller and passed a note announcing a robbery.
The teller complied with the robber and gave him cash from the drawer, police said.

The suspect fled on foot eastbound through the bank parking lot, police said.
The robber is described as white, approximately 30-years-old, about 5-foot-9 with a goatee and glasses. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and jeans, police said.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
