Driver Crashes Into Storefront On Madison Avenue, Police Say
The investigation is underway, police said.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The driver of an SUV jumped the curb and crashed into a Madison Avenue storefront window Tuesday morning, shattering glass and shutting down the sidewalk, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD's preliminary information, the woman drove a blue Subaru into the front window of Ginette NY, a jewelry store located at 1260 Madison Ave., near East 90th Street, just before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
One woman sustained minor injuries from the crash and was treated by EMS, police said.

No merchandise from the store was taken, police said, and the driver remained on the scene.
Police said no arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is underway.
