E-Scooter Crashes Into Pedestrian On The UES, Police Say
No arrests have been made yet.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A pedestrian crossing the street was hit and injured by the driver of an electric scooter at an Upper East Side intersection on Tuesday morning, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD's preliminary information, the man was crossing the street at East 86th Street and Madison Avenue when a man on an electric scooter hit him at 10:36 a.m.
The man was briefly knocked unconscious, police said, and was bleeding from the back of his head.

Police said the pedestrian was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition, and the driver remained on the scene.
The crash is under investigation, NYPD said. No arrests have been made yet.
