Fire In UES Student Dorm: FDNY

A fire broke out on the second floor of a university building on the Upper East Side on Monday.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A fire broke out on the second floor of a university building on the Upper East Side on Monday, New York City Fire Department officials said.

According to the FDNY, the fire started at 11:30 a.m. inside 445 East 69 Street, which is the Olin Hall student dorm for Weill Cornell Medicine.

The fire was extinguished by sprinklers by 12:03 p.m., the FDNY said.
