Michelin Star-Winning Restaurant La Goulue Set To Reopen On Upper East Side

The award-winning restaurant which hosted such fame as Jackie Kennedy and Melania Trump has been closed for a decade.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The iconic, Michelin Star-winning restaurant La Goulue is set to reopen almost a decade after closing its doors in 2009 because of lease problems, according to reports.

Contractors are working to replicate the old restaurant at Madison Avenue and 61st Street, four blocks south of their original location, according to Town and Country magazine. Restaurateur Jean Denoyer put the furniture, windows, doors and more into storage and now much of it is being transferred to the new location.

They're bringing back the French windows and the original door that still has its Open Table sticker from 2009.
