H.S. Senior Gets Online Shoutout For Artwork From 1990s Director
Seaford High School's Peter Koubiadis created a bust of a character from "Freaked" and director/star Alex Winter praised the project.

SEAFORD, NY — A student took inspiration from an obscure 1990s movie for his sculpture project.
Peter Koubiadis, a senior at Seaford High School, made a bust of a character from the 1993 film "Freaked." He used a wax and oil-based clay that never fully dries, allowing him to make adjustments over a longer period of time.
The project, completed last year, has gotten Koubiadis recognization from the director and star Alex Winter, also known for "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure."

The sculpture is a bust of Ricky Coogan, the character who Winter portrayed in "Freaked."
At the urging of his art teacher Michael Kerr, Koubiadis posted a photo of the project on his Instagram page and tagged Winter, who reposted it last month. It received more than 1,800 likes.
