Nassau Police: Cars Ransacked, Gym Locker Break-in Reported

Nassau County Police report on crimes near Wantagh-Seaford.

Nassau County Police reported the following incidents.

Thefts from Cars

  • Jan. 28: Rushmore Street, New Cassel; car ransacked, $400 stolen.
  • Jan. 29: Mirabelle Avenue, Westbury; car ransacked, stolen property.
  • Feb. 1: Oceanside Road and Oswald Court, Oceanside; drivers side window broken, GPS and sunglasses stolen.
  • Feb. 1: Ronni Drive, East Meadow; registration, insurance card stolen.
  • Feb. 1: Ring Road South, East Garden City; sneakers, cologne, money stolen through open window.
  • Feb. 2: Fulton Street, Westbury; drivers side opened, property stolen.
  • Feb. 3: East Pennywood Avenue, Roosevelt; tools, money stolen.
  • Feb. 4: Lafayette Street, North Bellmore; cellphone stolen.
  • Feb. 4: Kingfisher Road, Levittown; laptop stolen.

Petit Larceny Reports

  • Jan. 29: Glen Cove Road, Carle Place; male subjects stole bottle of vodka.
  • Jan. 31: Stuart Weitzman, East Garden City; purse reported missing from display shelf.
  • Feb. 1: Sunrise Mall, Massapequa; bag removed from counter.
  • Feb. 1: LA Fitness, North New Hyde Park; subject broke into locker and stole items.
  • Feb. 2: Farmedge Road, Bethpage; victim reported not receiving UPS package after receiving email that it had been delivered.
  • Feb. 2: Franklin Street, East Rockaway; Optimum Cablevision cable box stolen from home as victim was in the process of moving.
  • Feb. 3: North Shore Manhasset; iPhone 6 stolen from employee.
  • Feb. 4: Bryant Street, East Meadow; snowblower stolen from rear yard.
