14-Year-Old Slashed In The Face In Washington Heights Brawl: Cops
A fight that broke out on a bus and spilled into the street landed a 14-year-old girl in surgery for a severe cut on her face, cops said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A 14-year-old girl ended up needing surgery on her face this week after she was slashed during a brawl at a city bus stop, cops said.
The fight started Tuesday afternoon when the 14-year-old and a group of girls she was riding the M191 bus home from school with got into a fight with another group of girls on the bus, police said.
The brawl spilled into the street when the two groups of girls got off the bus near 191st Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue, where group of men got involved, too, police said.

Sometime during the tussle, one of the men slashed the 14-year-old across the face with a "cutting instrument," police said. A 17-year-old girl also had her phone stolen during the fight.
The two groups that had been fighting with the girls ran away, police said.

Emergency responders sent the 14-year-old to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where she had surgery for the severe laceration on her face, police said.
Cops caught a photo of the man who slashed the 14-year-old on from surveillance video of him running down the street after the fight.
