2 Found Dead In Washington Heights Building, Reportedly Stabbed
A man and woman were found dead inside a building near West 179th Street and Wadsworth Avenue around 8 a.m. on New Year's Day.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man and a woman were found dead on separate floors at a Washington Heights building and investigators reportedly suspect the man repeatedly stabbed her before falling from a sixth floor balcony.
Police responded to the building near West 179th Street and Wadsworth Avenue around 8 a.m. on New Year's Day. There they found a 46-year-old man dead with injuries to his body.
Police later found a 50-year-old woman dead inside an apartment.

No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing. The names of the man and woman are being withheld until their families can be notified.
WABC-TV reported that the man and woman knew each other and appeared to be boyfriend and girlfirend. Investigators believe he stabbed her before going off the sixth floor balcony and landing on the second floor, WABC-TV reported. He also appeared to have been stabbed.
