5 Men Rob Passenger On Washington Heights A Train

The men approached the victim on the train and took his wallet and cellphone by force.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify five men suspected of robbing an A train passenger in Washington Heights, police told Patch.

The 30-year-old male victim was aboard a southbound A train in the vicinity of the 181st Street station when five unidentified men approached him, police said. The five men used physical force to take the victim's wallet and cell phone, police said. The man's wallet contained $300 and various credit cards, police told Patch. The five men fled the station in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries, but refused medical attention at the scene of the robbery, police told Patch.

The five suspects were later seen entering a store on security camera footage. All five men appear to be in their 20s and are wearing dark clothing, police said.
