'Clean Up Your Block' Returns To Washington Heights And Inwood
The initiative to clean up the Upper Manhattan neighborhoods will take place on Saturday.
UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — The "Clean Up Your Block" initiative is returning to Washington Heights and Inwood on Saturday.
It will be the initiative's second installation after a successful community cleaning effort last Saturday in the two neighborhoods.
Congress Member Adriano Espalliat and Assembly Member Carmen De La Rosa spearheaded the ongoing effort to clean the Upper Manhattan city blocks.

The event will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the following six meeting places:
- 207th Street and Broadway
- 210 Sherman Avenue
- Dyckman Street and Broadway
- 181st Street and St. Nicholas Avenue
- Fort George Hill and Fairview Avenue
- 163rd Street and St. Nicholas Avenue
The effort to clean up the Washington Heights and Inwood streets is also in collaboration with New York State Senator Robert Jackson, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez, Community Board 12, Mark Levine, District Leaders Many De Los Santos and Maria Morillo, and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer.
