Elderly Man Punched By Stranger In Washington Heights, Police Say
The 75-year-old victim suffered redness and swelling but did not have to go to the hospital.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a suspect wanted in connection with the assault of an elderly man in Washington Heights, police said.
The 75-year-old victim was attacked Saturday, Jan. 13., on Broadway and West 157th Street, police said. An unknown man approached the victim around 8 p.m. and punched him in the face and body, police said.
The victim suffered redness and swelling but did not have to be taken to the hospital, police said.

Surveillance photos from a nearby building (seen above) show the suspect and another man walking down a street near the scene of the assault. Police described the suspect as a man with light skin in his late teen or early 20s, but did not have information on specific physical characteristics.
