WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Film crews for Lin-Manuel Miranda's film adaptation of "In The Heights" will be coming back to Washington Heights this week and shifting parking from a dozen or so blocks in the neighborhood, producers announced.

Warner Bros. Pictures, who are behind the movie, told Community Board 12 that they will be filming scenes between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, according to a notice sent out by the board.

The film crews will mean that there will be no parking signs on several neighborhood streets, which the production company listed in its notice.

The latest filming schedule comes after crews shot most of the musical movie in Washington Heights over the summer. A trailer that came out in December shows that many neighborhood landmarks will be featured in the film, which is an adaptation of the musical that won Miranda a Tony Award in 2008.

Miranda, director Jon M. Chu and Quiara Alegría Hudes, who wrote the book for "In the Heights," are helming the film adaptation. Warner Bros. set a summer of 2020 release date after acquiring the film rights from the disgraced Weinstein Company in May 2018.
