Homeless Man Charged With Murder In Washington Heights: Police
Christopher Pou has been charged with second-degree murder after police say he stabbed a man in the neck and chest.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A homeless man was charged with murder late Sunday night after police say he killed a man in Washington Heights on July 31.
Telmo Ruiz, 48, of Brooklyn, New York, was found with stab wounds to his neck and chest at 520 Audubon Avenue on July 31, police said. Ruiz was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he died from his injuries a short time later.
There were no arrests made initially, but police announced Sunday night that Christopher Pou, a 36-year-old homeless man, has been arrested and charged with 2nd-degree-murder in the incident.

Police sources told the New York Daily News that Ruiz and Pou fought in the hallway of an apartment building near W. 191st Street after a drug deal went bad. During the altercation Pou took out a knife and stabbed Ruiz multiple times.
