Inwood Jet Ski Collision Leaves One Dead, Another Injured: NYPD
Eyewitnesses pulled the two unconscious men out of the Inwood section of the Harlem River, according to police.
INWOOD, NY — Two jet skis crashed into each other Saturday night, leaving one man dead and another injured, according to police.
The collision took place around 8 p.m. near West 2o3rd Street and 9th Avenue, police said.
NYPD responded to a 911 call of a jet ski accident in the Inwood section of the Harlem River, upon arrival police discovered a 35-year man and a 37-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive that were pulled out of the water by people who saw the crash.

Emergency service rushed both men to New York Presbyterian hospital, but the 35-year-old man was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to police. The 37-year-old received minor injuries and is expected to survive.
Initial investigation determined that both men were riding jet skis in the area, and there is no criminality suspected at this time, said police.
