WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — "Hamilton" creator and Washington Heights native Lin-Manuel Miranda will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced earlier this month.

Miranda will join entertainers such as Jennifer Lawrence, Taraji P. Henson, Snoop Dogg, Bernie Mac and and “Weird Al” Yankovic in the Hollywood Walk of Fame's 2018 class.

“The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is pleased to announce our newest honorees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Committee looked carefully at each nominee and we feel that we have selected an eclectic group of talent that will appeal to the tastes of many fans around the world,” said television producer and chair of the Walk of Fame selection committee Vin Di Bona.
