Man Fires Gun Inside Washington Heights Bodega, Police Say

A man opened fire, striking a fridge, during a late-night argument inside the Washington Heights bodega.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who fired a gun in a Washington Heights bodega during an argument, police told Patch.

Two men are wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred inside a bodega on Saint Nicholas Avenue between West 190th and 191st streets, police said. During the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 8 a group of men got into a verbal argument inside the bodega, police said.

During the altercation, one man opened fire and ended up shooting a glass refrigerator, police told Patch. Nobody was injured during the shooting, police said.

Police connected two men to the shooting, who are wanted for reckless endangerment. The two suspects as described as a men in their late 20s or early 30s, police said. Police released photos of the suspects (seen above) that were captured on store surveillance cameras.

One of the wanted men was wearing glasses, a black V-neck t-shirt, black pants, black shoes and a hat and the other was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants at the time of the shooting, police said.
