Man Found Dead On Uptown Amtrak Tracks: Police
The man's body was found on the railroad tracks near West 177th Street and Riverside Drive.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man who's body was found near on Amtrak tracks in Washington Heights.
Police arrived at the Amtrak tracks near West 177th Street and Riverside Drive around noon on Friday to find the man lying on the side of the northbound track, police told Patch. The officers were responding to a call when somebody spotted the body, police said.
The man — who has not been identified — was unconscious and unresponsive when officers found him, police said. EMS responded to the tracks and pronounced the man dead on the scene, police told Patch.

The Medical Examiner's office will investigate the 28-year-old's cause of death. The NYPD is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and have not identified any suspects or made arrests, police told Patch.
