WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Cops are searching for a man who sexually assaulted and robbed a woman in broad daylight in Highbridge Park last week.

The 28-year-old woman was walking near Edgecombe Avenue and West 165th Street around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, when the man came up to her and grabbed her around the neck, police said.

The man then forced the woman to perform a sex act on him before taking her jewelry and running away, police said.

He is wanted on criminal sex act charges.

The woman was taken to Columbia Medical Center in stable condition.

Police released a sketch of the man and said he appears to be between 20 and 30 years of old.
