Man Shot In Front Of Washington Heights Bar, Police Say

The shooting suspect has not yet been arrested, police told Patch.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is searching for a man connected to a shooting that occurred in front of a Washington Heights bar, police told Patch

The suspect (pictured above) and a 22-year-old male victim were arguing in front of 21 Bar, located on Broadway near West 184th Street, early Sunday morning when the fight escalated to gunfire, police said. The suspect fired one shot in the direction of the victim, hitting him in the hip, police said.

After firing the shot, the suspect and another man fled the scene, according to surveillance video released by police. The video shows the suspect yelling at someone (not seen on camera) while brandishing a firearm. After taking a few steps back, the suspect points the gun and fires one shot.

The victim was brought to an area hospital in stable condition, police told Patch.
