Man Who Sped Away From Washington Heights Traffic Stop Arrested
The 24-year-old drove at high speeds down a busy Washington Heights street to avoid the cops.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man who sped down a busy Washington Heights street to avoid a traffic stop has been arrested, police said.
Euclides Abreuurena, 24, is facing charges of reckless endangerment and fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, police said. Abreuurena, a resident of the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx, was arrested Wednesday, police said.
Cops attempted to stop Abreuurena on Sunday afternoon after observing him swerving in and out of traffic near West 179th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue, police said. Abreuurena stopped for police and handed his license over, but sped off as soon as police went to review the document, police said.

Officers pursued Abreuurena's 2015 white BMW sedan, but were unable to catch him, police said.
Nobody was hurt when Abreuurena sped down the busy stretch of West 179th Street, police said.
