Man's Body Recovered From Harlem River: Police

The body was floating near Inwood's Peter Jay Sharp Boathouse on West 206th Street.

INWOOD, NY -- A man's body was pulled Wednesday morning from the Harlem River near an Inwood boathouse, police told Patch.

The man, unidentified but beleived to be in his 40s, was pulled from the river around 7:10 a.m. in the vicinity of the Peter Jay Sharp Boathouse on West 206th Street, police said. The man, still fully clothed, was transported to a nearby dock by the NYPD harbor unit where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Medical Examiner's office has launched an investigation to determine the man's cause of death, police told Patch.
