Morban's father, also named Jaime Morban, said his son never showed up for a 6:30 p.m. class last Monday in an interview with elCaribe. Morban commuted to school from his family home and generally returned between 8-9:30 p.m. every night, his father told elCaribe. The father described his son as completely devoted to his studies.

The medical examiner's office will investigate Morban's official cause of death.
