Muggers Tase Man in Washington Heights Before Grabbing Cash, Jewelry: Police
The police are searching for two suspects in connection with similar robberies in Washington Heights and the Bronx.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Police are searching for two alleged muggers who have made a habit out of using a taser while robbing people of cash and other belongings, police said.
The two muggers struck twice Monday night, once in Washington Heights and again in the Bronx. At around 1:30 a.m. the two suspects approached a 46-year-old man near 162nd Street and Fort Washington Avenue and shocked him with a taser, police said. After tasing the man, the muggers hit him and took cash, jewelry and car keys from the man.

The second mugging occurred at 5:30 a.m. near Bruckner Boulevard and Pugsley Avenue in the Bronx, police said. The suspect approached a 28-year-old man and brandished a firearm and a taser before making off with his belongings, police said. The second victim was not injured.
