It is believed that the 31-year-old was a bystander, and not the target of the shooting, police said.
Corvell Hampton, 28, has been arrested in connection with the shootings, police told Patch. When arrested, police recovered a semi-automatic firearm from the Hampton's possession, police said. Hampton, of Chicago, has been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder, police said.
