Police Searching for Missing 18-Year-Old Washington Heights Woman

The man was last seen leaver her home Monday morning at 10 a.m.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Police are asking for the public's help in a search for an 18-year-old woman who was reported missing Tuesday in Washington Heights. Taireesha Cerge was last seen Monday, July 25 at 10 a.m. while leaving her home on the 2900 block of Eight Avenue, police said.

Cerge lived in the southern confines of Washington Heights, near the border of Harlem, police said. Cerge, pictured above, is described as 5-foot-6, 145 pounds, with medium build, brown eyes and black hair, police said. It is unknown what kind of clothing Cerge was wearing when she went missing.

Anyone with information that could lead to finding Cerge is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577. All tips are confidential.
