See It: Midday Gun Fight Explodes In Washington Heights
Police released photos and video Friday of two men they say shot at each other multiple times near West 174th Street.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Police are seeking the public's help to find two men who shot at each other on a busy street in Washington Heights.
The incident took place Tuesday in front of 184 Audubon Avenue (near W 174th Street) around 1:30 p.m., police said.
Police have identified the two men as Guillermo Vargas, a 48-year-old man, who is 5-feet, 9 inches, 200 pounds, last seen wearing a gray shirt and black pants; and Ivan Montes, a 19-year-old man who is 5-feet, 7 inches, 135 pounds, last seen wearing a red shirt, black pants, and a bag across his torso.

The two men fired multiple shots at each other, despite onlookers in the area waving their arms to stop the gunfight.
It isn't clear what provoked the exchange of shots, but a video shows Vargas quickly rummaging through trash on the sidewalk before pulling out a gun and firing it directly over his head.

The two men went on to fire multiple shots at one another, with both failing to land a bullet. The two shooters fled the scene on foot, and there were no injuries, according to the police.
NYPD released a video of the shooting on Friday.
